Airport Authority Director West Michigan Airport Authority Holland, Michigan
The West Michigan Airport Authority is seeking a full-time Director. The Director is responsible for oversight of all operations and capital projects at West Michigan Regional Airport in Holland, MI. These responsibilities include airport development, budgeting, community engagement, management of Fixed Base Operator contracts, communications activities, preparation of capital project programs, preparation, submittal and oversight of federal and state grants, private hangar land leases, public hangar leases, interaction with FAA and MDOT staff and other activities associated with operating a Michigan Tier 1 airport. The Airport Authority is comprised of the Cities of Holland and Zeeland and Park Township. The Director is appointed by and reports directly to the Airport Authority Board. The successful candidate will be a dynamic and adaptive leader with experience in strategic planning, the ability to listen effectively, engage with a wide range of community members, and actively build relationships. The Airport Authority Director implements the policies and directives of the Airport Authority Board and is responsible for representing the Airport Authority publicly and in key professional associations. Applicants should have at least 3-5 years relevant experience and have at least a bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field.
